Left pad is a size small and right pad is a medium. Both have been somewhat broken in though not fully (roughly 15MI each)
Can’t decide which to go with. The small seems more snug which I like but has a tiny bit of a pinch behind the leg. No chaffing when riding though. The medium is super comfortable but feels like it has a little extra material/bulk to it and can come looser more easily (with effort though). The medium also slides into place when putting it on with ease whereas the small I usually need to swivel it backward to slide more easily over my calf.
Any pointers? I want the knee pad hunt to be over. lol.

POC VPD 2.0 for reference. (Not air model)
I’d prefer snug if it’s touching bare skin. Keeps friction down. Though a pinch isn’t good either nor restricting blood flow.
It’s a nightmare to find some that are comfortable/wearable , everyone is different, if you’re not happy don’t buy, you won’t wear them
You want the least amount of restriction, without the pad sliding down your knee. It needs to stay put. That’s basically it.
I would go small, the material will wear and stretch over time
I’ve ran large for a while, but when I started using a chamois the length of the shorts was able to tuck into the top and make up any extra room. So if you wear a chamois with each ride go larger, without smaller.
