  1. You never needed a helmet in OZ until the 90's. I used to ride around Melbourne without a helmet and look straight ahead when i saw Police car. They would shout at me i would pretend i couldn't hear them and ride off like crazy. A helmet would be handy for those crazy birds that attack you though.

  2. The brown colouration of the water comes from the peaty soil. It’s fine to wash in and indeed I’ve been drinking it all my life, sometimes as whiskey! and I’m fine 🙂

  3. Hey Codey, love your vids! I’ve done my share of solo touring and know that it ain’t always easy. Your attitude is inspiring. Ride free young man 👍

  4. Hey dude. Love your videos. Inspiring stuff. But within 9 mins and 30 secs there were 3 adverts and a YouTube survey. Is this something you control or do you hand over your content and let the YouTube algorithm do its thing. Found myself just waiting for the next ad. It’s sucks.

  5. Hey Cody, thanks for these vids together whilst we are all locked down. I loved riding the LEJOG in 2018, cycling culture over there completely different to Oz!

  6. I love the ballsy wold camps you do mate! Allways look forward to your touring videos. Do you have a kit list video?? Bit of a gear nerd lol

  7. Love the video Codey, can’t believe you where so close, Donegal is not a stone through away 😀 you missed the most beautiful parts…the west coast of Ireland! Keep pedaling and stay safe!

  8. Wild camping in Scotland is allowed so long as the area you are intending pitching in is not fenced off so basically anywhere but do not leave a mess or trace of your overnight that way we all benefit,

  9. I'll go into helmets.
You are not required by law in Ireland to wear a helmet.
If you are thrown off you bike at low speed, say under 15 kmh, you will probably be able to control your fall to some extent.
However, over that speed you're impact will be largely out of control and should the consequences so dictate that your head is due an impact as a result of such, then you will not be able to protect it.
A helmet in that instance can save you from not just brain and cranial damage… But other severe injuries such as lost skin, lost ears, lost nose or even teeth.
