
Rear shock all of a sudden lost pressure. Inflated and held for a 6hr event but today drained out within 30 minutes. Pulled the shock and it's leaking where the valve meets the body of the shock. Is there anything internally that could've came loose, or am I looking at a new shock?

well now there’s water in the body of the shock, so that needs to be addressed.
Did you try tightening the needle valve?
Pull the valve core, unscrew the stem (4mm reverse threaded, I believe), check the o ring on bottom of the stem, grease the end and put it all back together. I’ve had to replace the stem before because it was leaking somewhere. But this might just resolve your issue.
Likely not screwed. You could have more issues but depends on how DIY you want to get. The air valve assy (the part that is leaking) is threaded into the eyelet of the shock. It could be loose and/or could have a bad o-ring. If you remove the valve core you should be able to fit an Allen key in the air valve and take it off.
Doing this won’t mess up your damper bleed or anything. Just don’t go taking things off internally and you should be good
Maybe its cracked at the valve stem area/casing? If thats the case Id attempt to bog it with epoxy ( maybe a light sand to aid keying it in).
The air valve assembly is threaded into the upper eyelet body and there is an o-ring where they meet. There’s hex tooling inside the upper part of the valve. I’ve seen air valve assemblies get backed out from regular shock pump use but I’ve also seen them cracked at the base. You can release pressure, pull the valve core, and use a hex to remove the valve assembly to look for damage and the condition of the o-ring. Best case is it just needs to be tightened.
Now may not be the worst time to have discovered something like that. It may be completely fixable, but even if it’s not, there are some decent sales going. Any chance you’re in Canada? Might be some Boxing Day sales.
Between zero to 1 screwed. You can probably fix this by removing the valve stem and replacing the o-rings. Maybe even just lubing the o-rings.
Worst case scenario would be a crack in the valve and you’d need to replace the whole valve assembly.
Ah yes, clearly your Fox shock doesn’t behave as intended – it should Float, but in your case it Sinks.
Going to need to replace the two o one rings that go inside that and possibly the valve
