
I got this bike off market place and when I was trying to put brakes on it I realized I’m either missing a mount or have the wrong parts. I have not ridden in close to 10 years and don’t remember what I’m doing. It’s an odyssey brake kit and the frame is unknown.

You’re missing a straddle cable. The piece of brake cable that connects from that cable on the top tube to the brake arms. Looks like a V shape and will have a locking mechanism to fasten itself to your brake cable

With that style of brake you need a straddle wire so it can go either side of the seat tube – there should be a short wire that has a stop for each brake arm then you get a little thing that clamps the cable and pulls on that wire.
We can’t see what you are missing with this single picture. We see the brake hose which is not yet attached to the rim brakes. But the brake is black on black (not so clear). And the hose goes in in the other side then your picture. And maybe add a picture of all the small parts you have laying around.
