I mtb have a few bikes there but thinking a bmx to ride the neighborhood and take to a local pump track would be a good idea. Maybe learn a few tricks.
No set budget, just seeing what out there would be a good buy.
The Launch has a cool color and it’s cheap, but will it last?
The gateway is also quite lighter at 25 lbs vs 27 for the kinks.

launch has hi-ten steel parts and is way too short for most people. I definitely don’t recommend. the cult seems to have a hi-ten steel frame too. I’m not a huge fan of sunday but some of the mid range bikes are at least all crmo as you said no budget I’d recommend to check. fly bikes are a bit more expensive but are completely quality ones (when starting with orion)
