Hi,

I now live in a small hilly town in the Northeastern part of the US, and I am looking for a new bicycle.

I intend to use the bicycle year-round (rain, snow, sun), including to commute to work, run errands, buy groceries, and the occasional ride around the local lake and hills. I am pretty fit, and I have commuted by bike for as long as I know.

Since I plan to use it for groceries, I would mount a rack on the back and use some panniers and fenders.

My budget for the bike is about $1,000.

I shortlisted the following options, but I am open to more suggestions.

* Giant Fast Road AR 2: [FastRoad AR 2 (2023) | bike | Giant Bicycles US (giant-bicycles.com)](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/fastroad-ar-2-2023)
* Giant Roam Disc 2: [Roam Disc 2 (2022) | bike | Giant Bicycles US (giant-bicycles.com)](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/roam-disc-2)
* Trek FX3: [FX 3 Disc – Trek Bikes](https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/bikes/hybrid-bikes/fitness-bikes/fx/fx-3-disc/p/35021/)
* Fuji Absolute 1.3: [Absolute 1.3 – Fuji Bikes USA Powered by BikeCo](https://www.fujibikes.com/products/2021-absolute-1-3)

I appreciate your feedback and opinions.
