Bored of the French Motorways (and the Tolls!) Bonnie ventured off the main roads on her trip to a concert in Nimes. The accidental route went through a picturesque village of Ispagnac and followed the Gorge du Tarn, a fantastic valley road with rivers, hills and windy mountain style roads. A beautiful cut across country seeing a corner of France that is often missed, but doesn’t have to be.

  1. Thanks. I like to see roads I don't know in case I find myself there. Are you on the front or the pillion? It doesn't matter either way, you're riding, and the pillion has a better view. Especially in mountain passes with a serious drop to the side. Take care and Merry Christmas 💜

  2. I've found that whenever we are touring and we turn off onto a little out of the way road, we find the most spectacular places. It's one of my favourite things to do. Nice video as usual, Bonnie.

  3. There are two routes? Really? Two routes to avoid maybe but an infinite number of alternative routes. Please don’t say, bu5 you have to use the autoroutes to cover distance… that’s a lie.

  4. Great video. If I'm lucky I might have a job to do next year in the south of France, somewhere near the Spanish border (not sure where yet). My customer was going to pay for air fare but I might ride down instead taking the scenic route. I don't like flying, but I have never friven on the wrong side of the road either. First time for everything. Fingers crossed the job comes up. I'm figuring 2 weeks work, 1 weeks extra stay over plus 2-3 days travel each way in France. I'm only half an hour from the ferry this end.
