  1. A fan of your channel for all of of your videos, but I’m glad that you are doing more of these types of videos. Not only is it unique “content”, but it gets me excited to plan a trip. Keep it up, for your sake and ours! Thanks.

  2. what amazing scenery! and i can't wait to come back in a month to watch this video when it isn't all blurry and full of jpeg compression… it seems that youtube has lowered the bitrate so that it can promote its 'enhanced' version (ie the original quality)

  3. the statue you thought was a viking is a french comic book character named obelix. not sure if it has anything to do with the woolly mammoth or whether the character is a viking, but knowing the name you can look it up if you're curious.

  4. Hello Andy,
I know well the Cévennes region, my parents live close to your ride, between Alès and Anduze. I highly recommande people to ride in the Parc National, especially the Mont Aigoual (1565 m high or 1534 feet) or the Mont Lozère, a bit higher. Another astonishing road is the one that follows the Gorges du Tarn, east part of the national park. Look for it on internet. The Cévennes region is one of the most inhabited place of the French territory in Europe (besides French Guyana).

  5. Hi there, I live 70 miles away from St Jean du Gard. I ride my MTB every now and then in the same scenery. It's just delightfull.
I would love to visit your place though…
The music is a little bit 'cliché' from a french point of view… 🙂
    Cheers !

  6. Hey Bikefarmer I'm Lionel from France and I really appreciate your chanel.
We were biking with my wife in this area (our camping was in Saint Etienne Vallée Française) by the beginning of July. Thank you for visiting us and make a so kind portrait of this peaceful and lovely area. So many small roads to ride so many cols to climb and so few cars.
Oh, something else, after spending so many years as database manager in industrial plants I decided to stop 3 years ago and start a new career at 58… I am now bike mechanic too !
