Been debating about getting a new gravel frame for ages and in the end had my trusty Cotic powdercoated as couldn’t decide on what next. Feels like a new bike!
The shop that powdercoated the frame do a lot of bikes but I still had to do a little work before rebuilding –
Rethreading/cleaning out bottle bosses
Facing bottom bracket
Filing rear drop out
Facing rear caliper mount
Even with the above this is easily the best £60 I have ever spent and has cured my urge to get something new.
I initially went in for a flat cream colour but after seeing how good the candy colours came out I jumped at having candy Apple red.
Now to ride!!!
Edit – spelling

Nice! Powder coating is so much better than paint. I have a frame that I had powder coated in 2011 and (when cleaned) it still looks brand new. Doesn’t chip like paint does
