This ride was born during the pandemic. My friend lives in Norwich and I live in London so to observe social distancing we decided to bike from our respective homes and meet halfway, crack open a Cidre and munch on a pasty then head back. This didn’t quite happen at the time, but after the pandemic eased we decided to choose a pub, typically in a rural village, bike to said pub, drink beer and have a burger!!
On this ride I venture out of London to the Waggon and Horses pub in Great Yeldham, Essex. It was just under 100k each way. I started off in Lewisham then headed along the River Lea before peeling off to Essex. I endured the sketchy roads around Epping/North Weald before emerging out into the lovely quiet lanes of rural Essex. Join me on the ride!
