I’ve used hair spray with great success. Clean and spray the bars then spray a little in the grip. They will slide on easy but after about 5 minutes they sticky up and hold well. You’ll still be able to pull them off in the future if you want.

  2. You might have luck by adding a rubber shim or electrical tape to tighten its grip. Its hard to fully prevent ergo grips like this from rotating if you’re always pushing down on em though.

When these start to wear out naturally I’d replace em with a bolt on option. They’ll stay in place even if you wrench on em.

  3. Try hairspray, if that doesn’t work then realistically you’re probably going to need a set of grips with clamps.

  4. The issue is that these grips is that they will slowly rotate, as you put force on the flat part.

So if you want the orientation where your palms sit and no force is applied, they will work. If you want the grip to be higher than where your palm naturally sit, they will slide down as you ride.

  5. The best solution is to get ergo grips with an integrated clamp, but I know you’re hoping to keep these. I think hairspray as others have suggested is your best bet.

  6. hairspray is the answer but note that it can make removing them challenging. if you are tempted to cut them and possibly damage the bars, slip a zip tie under the grip and get some alcohol between the grip and the bar. should loosen them up

  7. My Norco hybrid ride has the same grips – Every few weeks I notice they’re moved out of alignment and just put them back to where they’re comfortable for me. I’m definitely keeping the hairspray tip in mind though.

  8. I’m pretty sure they are on backwards.

Your right should be you left and the flat part should face you.
