I’ve decided to go on a spontaneous adventure after finishing my bachelor’s degree at uni. I’ve always wanted to go to Romania, and I am a bike enthusiast, so why shouldn’t I combine those things together?
Damn, this one was tough but rewarding. This stage was in a region where there was a mix of Hungarian and Croatian culture, and one could really see it. Villages on both sides of the Drava River, which serves as a natural border, had interesting stories to tell, especially that old abandoned church, which took me 200 years back in time. The Croatian side was in better shape, with nicer houses and better roads. I slept near a McDonald’s in Osijek, but it all turned out fine.
