Apologies for a repost, but I realized I messed up and thought I had included a build breakdown:
-'94 GT Talera
Brooks Cambium all weather saddle
-Origin8 Tiki Bar moustache bars
-Tektro road levers on some narrow profile Shimano cantis
-Dura-Ace 9spd bar end shifters
-Gold-tec front rack zip tied to a…
-Wald 139 basket with axle supports
– Ritchey Vantage Comp 26" rims
-Shimano Exage hubs
-Microshift 11-34 9spd cassette (running 8 of 9 on a 7spd freehub)
-Maxxis Pace 2.1 tires
-Shimano LX triple chainring (something like that anyway)
-Velo Orange Sabot platform pedals
-Shimano Acera long cage derailleur and probably matching fd
-Fifth Season Vortex waxed canvas basket bag
-Lesenok Bags custom frame bag
-Velo Orange Copenhagen kickstand
-Planet Bike fenders
The weird thing on this bike is the 1" threaded headset/steerer. I had expected to find a 1⅛", but I think this model was intended to be a low end pootler that looked like a rad MTB. Frame is def on the heavy side compared to my double butted Ross Mt. Rainier (which ended up being too small and prone to throwing me over the handlebars). But the big tires keep it comfy and it's a great urban commuter. The triple triangle gives me a nice handhold for de-training on my multi-modal journey.
Big recommend on both Fifth Season (found them through Analog Cycles) and Lesenok bags (based in Ukraine, found through Etsy).
Considered doing the whole moto bars thing and still might, but the color-matched hi-rise stem works really well with the moustache bars.
