I just got my Brompton C-line today! But after riding it for less than an hour it seems like the tube near the back wheel fell out, and now it’s locked up my back wheel.

I guess I could try to remove the wheel from the chassis? But it’s held together with this very tight “Radolid” that I’m not sure how to remove. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏

  1. That’s your pump for inflating the tyres, you should be able to wriggle it back out, it’s plastic so will flex.

  2. it looks like the pump holder wasn’t installed very well. but what’s going on with your chain?

  3. I would let the shop know and/or Brompton itself. E-mail tonight and tell what happened.
Probably the pump is toast and maybe the wheel is not straight anymore and/or there might be paint damage.

Take some close up pictures of the damage if any. If it was me I would take it back to the shop like that and let them deal with it and the .. maybe .. damage.

Not really good start and I have not seen this happen online with the new pumps.

And why is the chain off????

I have the exactly same model, same color. First thing I did was to remove that tiny pump.

  5. Can you extend the pump so the ‘stem’/narrowest part of the handle is exposed and wriggle it out that way?
