I am curious as to what other people will have to say, but…… You can run your 27.5 in the 29 fork. If you decide to go with a 27.5 fork, I suspect you would need to grab one with more travel (10-20mm) to make up the Axel-to-Crown (ATC) difference.
No. 29 forks will work with a 27.5 wheel, as long as you have the same hub spacing. (Typically 15×110)
Just run it. You’re supposed to flip the flip chip around, but I’d just play around with it if I were you.

No. They mean 27.5 wheels with 27.5+ tires (2.8), which are essentially the same diameter as a regular sized (2.3-2.5) 29 tire and wheel.
If you just put regular sized 27.5 wheels and tires your bottom bracket will be scarily low. You risk an insane amount of pedal strikes, constantly smashing your chainring and bottom bracket into everything and during hard bottom out events, if your feet aren’t perfectly level they’ll smash into the ground… may even hit rocks and roots even when flat.
You may also void any warranty if there is one.
