The MacMaster is in Nottingham at Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem, allegedly the Oldest Inn in England to review the Pie and Chips (Proper Pub Grub) and take a look around this historic haunted Pub. Keep an eye out for the Cursed Galleon of The Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem.
The Cursed Galleon is fabled not only in Nottingham but in the paranormal community. Legend has it that the wooden model galleon was given as a gift by a sailor who had visited. The ship for many years hung downstairs in the pub and collected ridiculous amounts of dust, literally hanging from floor to ceiling.
Here in lies the tale…the galleon was cleaned and moved position in the pub, the unfortunate who took on the task reportedly met with his maker not long after. In fact, the last 3 people to have handled the galleon have all met with a mysterious end!
Landlords thereafter have refused to let anyone clean the galleon over the years hence it’s grimy condition and why the model was placed in a glass case by a spiritualist many decades ago.

Went from Leeds to the Trip in the 70s, and in one of the cavernous areas of the inn was a bull's ring hanging from the ceiling and a bull's horn on the side wall. The idea being to swing the ring over the horn. Is it still there?
You can that a good pie and chips in Boyes in Bridlington for 9 pounds
Pie if that what it was , looked real class . The price of some fizzy water and flavouring . The owners ..
Get real.
Too expensive and I think you should have had a pound burger with chips lol 😁
Dont diss Nottingham!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hilton international park lane London drops the £ sign , love the roof top restaurant overlooking London lit up at night . Top dining with wine £250 to £300 for two and worth every penny .
You can get food and horse stables for the night ie hotel 15th century style.
LEE your in a fantastic traditional pub and you order a coke ffs.
Why no steam when you cut open the pie. Too many angles Lee.
It's good to see all the bars and restaurants still thriving… Thanks to the Universities… NTU all the way! ❤ Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem is a must if visiting Nottingham! Ye Olde Salutation & The Bell Inn are old pubs too! Lord Byron is buried in Hucknall, interesting gravestone!
For Great Value & Quality on Fish and Chips in Nottingham City Centre… Has to be Moulin Rouge! ❤
Idea… Go to a Nottingham Forest Match 24/25 Season: The Boardroom offers the very finest in premium hospitality at The City Ground, being nominated for the best visiting Directors Box experience in the Premier League last season.

Finally… Ladies Day at Nottingham Horse Races was in May 😢 No fear… As Southwell Ladies Day is on August 18th. Tickets £32 with DJ Vernon Kay. 😊
As a student in Nottingham in the early 90s we never went to the Trip as it was expensive, crowded with tourists and the beer was meh! Went back a couple of years ago and had a really poor meal. Much better pubs within a short walk such as the Old Salutation, the Bell and the Hand & Heart
Looks like my kind of pub! But I think pubs charging over the odds for coke is terrible. Not everyone drinks and you feel penalised for no lt drinking
I live in Derbyshire myself and yeah £4.50 for a diet coke is over the top. And I moan about pepsi max £2.00 at my local at Ilkeston love ur vids❤
I hate your moany EV vids, however love this content, really enjoyed it, thank you and I've been to this pub, great place to visit, often loads of Harleys here too 👍
The Old Ferry Boat Inn and the Porch House are both reported to be older than this place
Not the best place in Nottingham to eat. Decent tourist attraction though. World service Is closed or is closing..
If you had asked a local or not so local, they would have told you to not bother wasting your money. If you want a beer, fun and sing song, yes its fine.
That meal would of cost £ 18.00 where I live. So bargain . The cost of the drink extortionate.😮 My score would of been a 7.
More to the point Lee how do you know what fake taxi is?! 😂🤔
Mill of the black monks in Barnsley is suppose yo be the oldest pub in England. Does nice food too, lots of tunnels underneath and also appeared on britains most haunted
The pie looks yummy
I,d have had the pie but with mash,or the chicken kiev 😋😋😋 never been to Nottingham, is not famous for its lace or it was?🤔🤔🤔
The Trip is OK but it's mainly full of students,hipsters-the last remaining few-and tourists so I don't visit very often.
Actually The Trip is where that well known Fictional/Mythical character of Jesus was meant to have visited.😄😄
'Put the pound sign on, we know its in pounds' … hang on a sec, if you know it's in pounds, why do you need the pound sign? Saves ink and saves the planet one inky pound sign at a time!
Friar Tuck
A bit pricey. But I think you would have gotten a better deal with a pint than the diet coke.👍
Believe me, Nottingham is a culinary desert. A city that once had many individually owned restaurants is now overrun by " chain food outlets. Trying to find a decent meal in the city center is impossible. 🇬🇷😎
Its not even the oldest pub in Nottingham…never mind the UK
I'm from Nottingham and was shocked to find the Trip was a Greene king
You should try the Noor Jahan on Mansfield Road, right on the edge of the City Centre. Best Curry in Nottingham!
