Our twelfth monthly Zoom video meeting, on Monday 18th November 2024.

Burlish Bike Park’s Hannah Escott talked us through her three-year journey to save her local jump spot and turn it into an official bike park. From starting from scratch, to going on to raise over £250k in funding, securing planning permission, through to the build process, the opening and how the park has evolved since, Hannah shared the highs and lows of her experience. After Hannah had shared her story, we moved on to a Q&A session.

There were 15+ attendees including Louise Raine (Richmond Bike Park), Adam Coxon (SkillsLoop MTB), Tony Skirrow (Ride Northampton), Hannah Dobson (Singletrack), Ali Hair (Trash Free Cambu / UK MTB Trail Alliance), Ian Bradford (Wakerley Wheelers) Jez Sainter (SingletrAction), Adam White, Pete Blundell (Northampton Bike Park), Robert Howells (Afan Trail Volunteers), Tony Pocock (Sixtyseven70), Zoe Woodman (girls ALIVE), Hannah Escott (Burlish Bike Park) and was hosted by Robin Grant (UK MTB Trail Alliance).

  1. Gutted I couldn't make this.. Love this quote.. "People just like supporting good things." That's so true, Hannah Escott. You are a total legend and a great role model.
People like supporting good things led by great people. Burlish ticks both boxes.
