  1. Is that your inner thigh? How tf…..

Check out hockey, football, lacrosse, or maybe snowboarding gear at a sporting goods store. They make padded compression shorts for those sports.

Not sure if the pads are on the inner thigh though….

  2. So, serious question. Is that crash related, or just riding?

If you are bruising like that from just riding, it is advisable to get some professional coaching. Your body shouldn’t be NEAR the saddle if standing up and riding. I have zero right to tell you how to ride, as a stranger on reddit, but I can say this is a teachable moment.

  3. I can recommend the [Leatt 3DF 5.0 impact shorts](https://leatt.com/us/product/impact-shorts-3df-5-0?srsltid=AfmBOooyjeeQDefUa974VGqslUZL5cWLQHp-PBMwKj6gzIjWCp1BdDyq&selected-color=black) (level 1 CE rated). I’ve worn mine for a whole bike park season this year and they are super comfortable to wear, well ventilated, and have protection in all the important spots – they definitely would have helped you out with the exact location of your bruises. They also have some coccyx and upper hip protection.

If you ride more seated than park, then the 3DF 4.0 is the model you want, as that has the padded chamois.
If you just want the thigh & hip and don’t need the coccyx, chamois or upper hip protection then get the 3DF 3.0 model.

  4. Funny, people here are like “how is that even possible”.

While i’m sitting here thinking “I know exactly how that happened”. Also went over the bar 2 days ago.

Can’t help you with your question unfortunately. Guess we’ll have to learn how to ride…

  5. Alpinestars make padded bib shorts (Paragon V2), but the padded part is on the ***outside*** of the hip (the part you’re likely to break). They’ve also got a integrated back protector. I like mine, but I only paid €35 for them.
