Hey back at everyone &:bike is torn down & about 2 order parts 4 , however a few questions if anyone might have an answer a solution

1 I am going bad put a 3x 9 on the MTB, I came across this and what I like about it is on the highest box I believe they have they have something called multi shifting which allows you to shift more than one gear at a time when your mountain biking that's critical however I'm not seeing anywhere where you can run a 3×9 I'm assuming you can I have emailed them but who knows when they'll get back to me if anybody has one of these or knows I would love to hear back

2 where the headset unit goes in on this bike I'm probably going to need some adapters or some kind I am going back with the old quill headset to me it looks like the bearing holders or the cups are pressed into the frame I'm not real sure and I appreciate her somebody might know anything about that and if so what kind of adapters I may need to take a modern four to put in there again this group is awesome anybody that might have any knowledge I appreciate it

Thanks Lt Dan

  1. You can’t run that groupset with more than 1 chainring, the derailleur isn’t designed to be able to take up the slack of changing chainrings while in the bigger cogs.

  2. How can you ride if you ain’t got no legs Lt Dan?

Great sign off lol. Let’s get started:

    – is the bike already 9sp? For instance, the new cassette won’t fit on an 8sp wheel (freehub)

    – the cassette has a large range (difference between low and high gears) so it won’t work with a 3x crankset. It’s designed for 1 or 2 chain rings.

    – most mid-high end shifters can upshift (make pedaling easier) multiple gears in one push of the paddle

    – I’m not too knowledgeable of headsets but those cups are removable, a replacement should come with new cups. You can nudge them out by tapping the inner edges with a dowel and hammer
