Just finished breathing new life into this family heirloom. My grandfather purchased this bike at a Goodyear tire shop in 1965. It was badged a Goodyear Hi Way Patrol and built by Colombia. Used to have a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub with a lackluster coaster brake. I converted it to single speed with a coaster brake and gave it a new fork with cantis in the front.
Last pic is the bike before any changes. I liked it, but I never used it. When we tried to service the headset, the original fork had a mangled steer tube and wouldn’t go back together the way it had been for so many years. I’m so happy with how it turned out!

Oh man that thing turned out awesome 👍… Great story too!
Oooh, fancy!
I really do like the looks of this.
Rad, rad, rad! How’s it ride?!
I had a State Klunker for a while and honestly I kind of miss it… The simplicity of them is just so nice, sketchy at times… But nice.
What kind of bottom bracket converter did you use?
