    I would ride that tire to home, but I wouldn’t ride it from home.

    Park makes a patch with a bit that sticks out through the puncture. I’d try that and then some glue,

  3. Also had a Conti GP5000 do something like that to me.

    Vulcanising glue may seal it but the reality is the tyre is under high pressure and it’s a weak spot. Got three punctures in one day right on that weak spot so I gave up on it. Worth a try though just don’t expect miracles.

    Forgot to include some context:
    Currently in a tubeless setup. This had 2 dynaplugs in there. Tire was slowly weeping sealant as I’d ride in the cold. I took the tire off to put this patch on to stop that.

    Saw this after tire seating and inflation. I could take the tire off again and just throw a tube in and call it good. The tire only has like 400 miles on it. Can’t bring myself to throw it away quite yet

  5. If that’s an adhesive one step patch, i wouldn’t trust it. The old school glue/cure/patch type, I’d try hitting it with some Shoe Goo from the outside and letting it roll.

  6. I wouldn’t ride it, I lost a tire that looked similar to this riding through a construction zone. Now it’s awaiting its turn as an indoor trainer tire.

    Its a big rip and in the first image you can see it is wide under pressure. Sometimes new things get broken fast. It must have been something substantial to do that to a new tyre.

    Nah! It may have looked better if you superglued the tire before patching it from the inside.

  9. Yay, put a piece of duct tape on the inside of the tire over the hole 🕳️. Chances of getting a puncture through that hole are slim.

    Nay. Or let us know when it bursts. Usually just as you turn around on your out-and-back century ride.

  11. That it’s ballooned out a bit has me more concerned than the seal you’ve put on. Suggestive that there’s something damaged in the carcass which is the bit that actually holds the tire together. At best it’ll be annoying to roll over a bump every revolution, at worst it will blow out
