I got a pair of Favero Assioma Uno pedals and tried them for the first time yesterday (road ride ~50mi). Everything went fine, power seemed accurate, no crashes, no incidents, I don’t think the pedals ever touched the ground since removing them from the box.
This morning, however, I noticed (amazingly, since it’s barely visible), the right pedal (non power meter) seems to have cracked/split apart. The crack is hard to see but it becomes more obvious when a cleat is in it. I rode another pair for thousands of miles over a year, and never had a problem, but now I have to deal with this.
Im not too sure but it kind of seems like the plastic material of the pedal body is different from the one I bought two years ago. Perhaps I just got a defective pedal, or maybe it was broken before it even arrived (although the box was well packaged and didn’t seem to have any damage). Has anyone else experienced anything like this with Favero Assioma pedals (or any similar pedals)? Anyone have advice going through their customer service or other avenues?

Just warranty them. If it happens again the quality isn’t worth the money.
I have run mine for about 20k km and know lots of people who have them as well and this is the first time I have heard about material failure. You should probably just warranty them, probably you just received a bad pedal.
Yep warranty them. Just unlucky I’d say, I’ve had mine for 5 years without a single issue.
Riding them since 2018 no issues
