Are these ok to use to wipe down my chains and drivetrain since they say they are lint free? I’ve been using a big pack of microfiber cloths but don’t really want to run them through my washer machine.
But personally, I just use plain old Costco / Kirkland paper towel. Works fine.

I used an old pair of skid marked underwear.

Order some surgery towels from Amazon.

I usually burn through enough socks to just use those for rags

Old t-shirts, or some linens like dish towels.
Personally I don’t like using paper based products for this because of the residue

I have an old sock I cut up into small rags.

I use these ones personally. They’re very similar to the lint free blue shop towels, but they’re white, so you can see the stains more easily. They’re nice and thick and still hold together even when wet.
That’s Aussie dollars too, so they’re pretty cheap. Just over 10 Freedom Eagles
Side note: Both the Scott brand Shop Towels and the Wypall brand are owned and manufactured by Kimberly Clark, so you know they’re likely to be high quality. And they are.
