Primary School Pedestrian Entry on Busy Bike Path

On the Southern end of the busy Sydney Harbour Bridge bike path there is a pedestrian entry gate to a primary school. In the lead up to it there are 2 sharp blind corners. Based on the signs its clearly a kids safety concern. I have had a few near misses myself with cyclists cutting the bind corners. Seems its safer to drive the kids to school! What were the planners thinking?
