I live in a beach town with some okay roads and bike paths but the town itself has very bumpy rocky roads. I'm more interested in getting a road bike as I have a cross country now.

Im also looking to get a Canyon bike, either the endurace or the grail and I like the available endurace way better than the grail options I can get here.

I've been going back and forth 1000x. I think the gravel makes more practical sense for the area, there's lots of bad roads and potential cool locations I can reach by getting the gravel, but I like the endurace way more with the electronic shifting and the carbon flexible post. I also want to go road cycling with a friend here.

How does one choose!

  1. Canyon’s endurance bike is called the **Endurace**.

  2. Gravel, unless you race you never regret better tire clearance. Just my personal opinion. I do also love electronic shifting but if you force me to choose I would go for tire clearance. I think.

The Endurace can accept up to 35 mm tires, fully capable for hard easy gravel. I have an Endurace and a grizl, not sure I could choose. I love them both. but if you never want a rack and panniers I think the Eendurace wins but for carrying stuff and rougher roads, the grizl al would be my choice.
