  1. I LIVE IN obama HOLE pittstburgh THE PIECE OF obama DIP obama GAYBC ALPHABET THING LIBERAL PUKE muslim devil's OWN RUINED IT IT'S A obama Hole!

  2. Left this beautiful city as a young kid but never shut up about its charm and distinction…Yes we are annoyingly proud of our town. Made it back at the age of 27. You’d have to kill me to leave

  3. Pittsburgh is one of a kind city. One of the oldest cities in the country. I went to school there, originally growing up in the country. I couldnt wait to get out of the country. After living in the City, I couldnt wait to get back home, but I do enjoy spending the weekend in Pittsburgh every once in a while. This place is full of history.

  4. Looking through the discography of this channel, cities all over the world, well known and famous places, it feels odd seeing Pittsburgh in the mix. It makes me so proud to hear this kind of praise from someone who really has seen a lot of the world. Thank you for for making a trip for the 'Burgh, and im excited to see where you venture next!

  5. Truth is, Pittsburgh does NOT get much snow. Very little for years now. Go an hour north, east or south…they get snow. Not much here.

Roads…they are worse in DC, Cleveland and other cities. Roads were worse here decades ago. They really are decent, especially the expressways.
While the view entering Pittsburgh from the Fort Pitt Tunnel at night is an awesome view my favorite view at night is the inbound Parkway East. Round the bend and presto…dahntahn!

  6. One thing about Pittsburghers is bitching about the weather. No way in hell is Pittsburgh cloudier than Buffalo or Cleveland or Detroit or Chicago or Seattle

I worked in DC for five years. Flurries cause mass panic. Brutal humidity, then drab chilly weather from Halloween to April

Northeast Ohio gets snow every April.

  7. Well, Pittsburgh is certainly unique, and not in a good way. You could look at a photograph of a putrescent, misshapen clapboard shack covered in scabrous fake brick siding and vinyl awnings (green and white striped!) and have no doubt at all where you are. H.L. Mencken once compared the city to a man with his face shot away. In fact he described it with a number of memorable superlatives as the most hideous place in the entire world. He was dead accurate then and remains so now.

  8. I’m from Boston so i hate the Steelers and Penguins, but once park is one of my favorite ballparks ever, and i love the look of Pittsburgh, its a very unique city and i love the art history there. I wouldn’t mind moving there some day

  9. moved in april from pittsburgh to iowa.. plan on going back this upcomg spring if possible. this video made me cry.. i miss home. everyone in the comments just knows.. that appalachian pride 🖤💛 theres nothing like it. i get called out all the time for my accent in iowa, i miss my people and their twangy pittsburghese.

  10. POV Me: 😮
There is to much to see here in Pittsburgh for a video to tell you about this city, so come here yourself to see instead. Places to go: Carnegie Science Museum, Grand View(seriously I lived there when I was a little kid and I can’t recommend it enough. Just explore the stores and restaurants ), The Point, any other of the museums, the Strip District(go walk around and buy stuff), And there is so much more.

  11. Thank you!! It's a hidden gem, always has been. Full of characters, great local band scene and clubs. I go way back to the days of the small punk bar The Electric Banana on Mt. Washington. The subway is more like Mister Rogers' trolley, so clean with classical music playing. A magical place!

  12. You could have done a whole hour on Pittsburgh. you didn't have time to touch on any of its historic sites or natural areas outside of town.

    But this video was enjoyable

  13. You get the Burg! Grew up there. Even though I've lived apart over half my life now, my connection to my beloved city and it's folks still reigns. Thanks so much for your wonderful travel doc.

  14. Pittsburgh is a great city but due to terrible leadership and failing national policies, we are littered with homeless and rampant drug use. You can't even enjoy walking on the Northshore rivertrail because there are about 70 "unhoused tents" lining the trail. Here you get to see a man possibly shitting on the side of the trail or taking a nice drug nap.

  15. Pittsburgh is a unique and amazing American city because I believe it's a miniature version of America. It's a melting pot of culture, cuisine and industry.

  16. I grew up in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. Just south of Wheeling. Wheeling is where the interstate first breaks off from our little route 2 and head towards the “big city.”

To us, Pittsburgh was always that cool city of Oz on the horizon, two hours away. close enough to drive but far enough away to be special. Loved going there as a young adult when I had friends who lived in Oakland during college. Fun going as an adult with my wife and my kid and staying at the Embassy suites downtown and going to the zoo and eating at Fogo de Chao. I love Pittsburgh. It’s truly unique and was a major part of my character building growing up.

  17. I knew you weren't from here as soon as i read the title. This city is trash and I grew up and still live here.

I'm not really sure why I don't like it here. Probably because I grew up lower class and am now on lower middle class. I've worked my butt off as much as anyone else here and don't feel like I've been given the chance that others have.

I've never experienced the "community" people keep mentioning. Everyone is pretty mid here. No one is exceptionally nice or anything. I've never liked any of the sports teams, the winters can get pretty bad, the congestion sucks and our infrastructure does, too.

The tech and healthcare industries are pretty good but good luck if you want to do anything else. What else is there?

The schools stink and the rivalries are dumb.

Most of PA voted Red and I can't stand politics.

Besides the food this place is pretty "meh".

I visited Boston and liked it much better. Folks actually seem to be genuinely nicer. The culture seemed better and more forward thinking. I wasn't there long, though so if I did end up living there I'd probably get sick of it, too.

Every city is every other city.

  18. Thanks for coming and I'm glad that you had a good experience! As a native who grew up here in the 70's and 80's, it's still surprising to see people finally appreciating this place. When I came of age, it was a place to leave as tens of thousands did when the steel industry collapsed.
What I like most about my hometown is that I live only two miles from Downtown and I have woods near me in all directions. I can be alone in Nature all day long and zip into the city whenever I want. Most of my neighbors have campfires in their backyards and there is more wildlife here in city neighborhoods than in the nearby mountains..

  19. I appreciate this video a lot! Born and raised here in Pittsburgh and that ending monologue hit perfectly. We tour our own city like it’s something new every time!

  20. Pittsburgher here. I think the fact people are so passionate about Pittsburgh is precisely why it's such a great place to visit and live in. We love our city, and its icons. The Steelers, Kennywood, Mr. Rogers, these are just a few Pittsburgh things that aren't just things to see, they become part of the fabric of the city itself. Even the fire hydrants are black and yellow. Kennywood arrow signs are scattered throughout town. Mr. Rogers murals, quotes, and merch are everywhere. You don't get that same feeling in other cities.

  21. Thank you for your glowing review. Pittsburgh is everything you showcase and so much more. Please come back and do a feature about our beautiful architecture (Cathedral of Learning – University of Pittsburgh, Phipps Conservatory and Greenhouse, and of course the many gorgeous churches). We are also a city with 91 neighborhoods; many still reflecting old world cultural heritage.

  22. If you're a Conservative and support Trump, don't go to Primanti's. They discriminate against Republican candidates and their supporters. I am born and raised in Pittsburgh and will never go to Primanti's again.
