Hello everyone. I’m looking into getting a second-hand 8bar KRZBERG v7 frame and fork, and wanted to hear the general consensus about the brand and their quality.
I know they’re mainly based in Europe and peaked in the fixed-gear scene a few years back, especially with their sponsorship of events like Rad Race and hosting fixed crits. It seems like their popularity peaked around 4 years ago, and they’ve now transitioned more toward gravel and road bikes.
For those who’ve ridden or owned an 8bar frame, how does it hold up in terms of quality, performance, and durability? Would it be a noticeable upgrade over something like a Santafixie Raval?

I only saw a caouple irl and they look very cool and look like nice built, but that’s onlt about the look, I can’t relally tell you about the quality of the frames, I’d like to try one tho
Hi, its like a standard or Cinelli vigorelli frame. Its a typical stiff aluminium frame with crit geo. Buy it and have fun with it. Dont overpay they are selling in Germany for around 200-500€
Have one, the kreuzberg. And to be honest, its okay. I struggle with tightening the rear wheel, doesn’t matter how tight, at some point it just starts moving a bit, not much but just so chain tension feels off. Saw a lot of off brand bikes which looks exactly the same as the 8bar bikes so idk where they’re coming from, if they’re genuine build or just 8bar branded.
Also had issue with the paint job, nothing huge but expected to be better for the price.
If i am completely honest now, after 2years of driving, i‘d buy something different, but here’s the thing, I don’t know what else to buy. I dont want to spend hundreds to thousands of bucks for a frame and the frame i‘d love to have is just not available in germany (Vendetta)
So thats my dilemma, it’s a good bike, definitely better than some santafixie brand frame

I own the v7 and use it as a messenger/winter base miles bike depending on the season. It does the job, but I wish I’d bought something different now. Here some things I’m not keen on
-dropouts aren’t super
-the headset that comes with the fork is cheap
-ride feel is very stiff (a bit like a mid-2000s carbon frame)
-front end is quite long and low (something to be mindful of if you want to slam the stem)
-dropped seatstays look kinda ugly imo
-no bottle cage mounts
-ridiculously embarrassing decal on the underside of the downtube which reads ‘my legs are my gears’
But it’s also affordable, reliable, solid, has good tyre clearance, no silly proprietary things and in ‘raw’ looks pretty cool I think. 🙂
I have one, its amazing. Wanted to get an Ingria Airpusher, but with the war and me being in Europe, got this instead. Welds are superb, so is having 5yr warranty. I think it would definitely be an improvement over Santafixie, is after Dolan TC. Only thing I didn’t like was the cringe writing under it 🤣 bike in pic is v5 afaik, not v7 tho. But good components 👍
