  1. The eggs are the most outlandish thing in the picture: the shells are emptied out and left intact. The egg is mixed with fish sauce, spices and sometimes herbs and filled back in. The whole thing gets put on a stick and is steamed like a dumpling. The sticky rice is the local staple food. Tastes like normal rice, just a lot more chewy. The doughballs come in many varieties, the ones in the picture are sweet, likely made from rice flour (no way to ask the lady selling them) and filled with some kind of green custard.
