A month or so ago, someone's GF posted asking for gift ideas and in that thread was the idea for a custom stem / headset cap. Holy smokes – what a great idea.
Now, I wish I could post a picture of it, but that's against Rule #3. So, just imagine a super slick cap with a custom logo you designed for your MTB buddy based on his initials. Imagine how awesome that would look and how happy he'd be to get that as a gift. You're picturing it right?
Anyway, I ordered from Kustom Ventures. I have zero affiliation with them – just a rando happy customer. They go for $15-$30 and there are loads of pre-designed ones or you can upload your own art. Wouldn't it be great if there weren't a rule keeping me from uploading that art to show just how awesome it looks? Anyway, a few bucks more if you want a color bolt to go with it.
I find coming up with that "perfect gift" a real challenge, but this — yeah, this one is awesome. Machining is great, and the laser etching is just so crisp. You're seeing that in your mind right? 😉
