  1. When I see neon, I immediately think of my dad and father in-law. Look can only be improved by combing different colours of neon ๐Ÿฆบ

In all seriousness: this doesnโ€™t look all too bad with the added benefit that no driver in existence can claim to not have seen you for kmโ€™s.

  2. Gives off craziness. Why are you wearing tights with short sleeves? Insane. Mental. Colors look fine though.

  3. What vibe. The โ€œneedy I must show random people on Reddit Ive never met to see what they think just to get a dopamine boostโ€ vibe?

  4. You are choosing safety over fashion in the most extreme way and that’s ok, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Personally, if the choice is wearing neon vs getting hit with a car…..one second, let me check my health insurance benefits

  5. Unpopular Personal Opinion incoming: Iโ€™m not a fan of large swaths of fluorescent yellow but donโ€™t mind it as small accents here and there.

I get why clothing manufacturers do it from a practical perspective. We all want to be better seen. However, from a fashion perspective, it feels a bit dated, and dare I say it, โ€œdorkyโ€: more utilitarian, less trendy.

Iโ€™ll clarify, and preface this by saying I would never ride without a helmet, but the closest โ€œvibeโ€ I can compare it to is when my friends wore helmets on their BMX bikes when riding around our neighborhood in the 80โ€™s. In those days, it just wasnโ€™t cool to wear a helmet as it was thought of as being overly cautious/ nerdy.

Of course, we know better now.
