A lovely gravel ride through Kennedy Creek, WA with the visible and olfactory aftermath of the Chum salmon run. The ammonia-like smell of decomposing fish permeates the first mile or so of the ride. Other than that it was the standard cold and wet but still fun winter riding in the PNW (Pacific North West).

Grew up in Olympia/Tumwater fishing at Kennedy Creek (“crick” as we called it). Haven’t been back in ages but will make sure to cycle there next time I’m down there.
