    Frame stickers on bike, opinion?

    I am about to get my new cube roadbike, I also want to get a bit more into racing and thus I maybe want to put some decals on it, think like the Shimano logo on the rear downtube and my name underneath the seatpost. Is that socially allowed? Because I really like my bike to look as professional as possible and I think these decals can help. Also, which size should such a Shimano logo on the back be? 100mm? Thanks for helping out! 🙂

      It’s not something I would personally do, but it’s your bike and if you think it’s cool then go ahead

      This is kinda a crossover opinion from my time in the So Cal car scene, but I think if you’re sponsored it makes sense but otherwise I wouldn’t advertise anymore than I already am

      I kind of liked having my name and team sticker on my bike, and it makes a ton of sense if you’re riding the same thing as half your team. I’m not sure I’d pay money to have a Shimano sticker on my bike. I already gave Shimano a bunch of money and it’s frequently the most prominent branding on a department store bike.

      I have a totally unrelated sticker (cute animal) on most of my bikes. Kind of a personal totem I guess?

      Unpopular opinion on this subreddit, but I think it’s fine to enjoy the aesthetics and personal expression that come with making your bike your own. I’m an adult, and my bike is my passion, my hobby, my toy… so why not do what makes me enjoy it more? If I like a brand and want it to keep making great stuff, I don’t mind ‘advertising’ for it, especially when we’re seeing Chinese groupsets like L-Twoo or Wheeltop entering the market at lower price points. Just my 2 cents.
