Thats definitely not enough of a whip where you should’ve came out. You either need to tighten your pedals (if you can) or get new cleats. Or start riding flats lol

I don’t understand clipless for downhill unless you were in a race run and really needed to be glued to the bike through the super technical rough stuff. Being able to get off the bike instantly with flats has saved me from a horrible crash soo many times.

I suck at whips but I’ve done this so many times. My best explanation is that it happens when you try to “pull” the bike out with that outside foot instead of “pushing” with your inside foot.
