New to the world of carbon handle bars. I've always put carbon paste (with those little friction beads) on my CF seatposts and fork steerers, but im wondering if it will be detrimental/redundant in this instance? The gel paste that suspends the beads still seems like a grease to me, so I'd imagine that could introduce slip compared to this oem texture that's already present on the handlebars. Open to your thoughts and experiences. Thanks

IMO it’s redundant, but not detrimental. I tend to put a very thin layer anyway, just as a matter of practice.

Use the paste. You always want a grease or you will get creaking. Carbon grease is added grip for less, no downside.
I would not. Friction paste can get between the bumps and reduce friction.
Bike mechanic here. Don’t use cabon paste on modern carbon parts unless the manufacturer explicitly says to. Use a good torque wrench.
