Current project – Schwinn High Plains

Been on the hunt for a super tall old steel MTB frame for a while and stumbled upon this one at a storage center yard sale. Picked this guy up for $50 after negotiating down from $100 and have put about $50 more into it on small stuff, had most of the parts at home. Pedal threads are macked so I need to get those chased before I can ride it but so far it’s been a fun project. Planning to change the stem in short order and maybe find some more swept bars. Thinking I’ll eventually run it 1X or SS for fun and simplicity.
