Hello everyone currently working on an e bike and came across this. I tried moving it around nothing seems to work any one have knowledge of this washer ?
its to slide into the drop out to stop the axle spinning around due to the torque from the electric wheel, really only common on electric bikes (and possible but slightly different on some dutch style gear hub wheels)
the axle is squared off so the washer locks it into position

Make sure it’s lined up properly when you reinstall the wheel. It goes in a certain way, so be sure it’s correct before tightening down.
Improper installation will cause the wheel to be off a bit and will cause brake pad alignment issues and possible damage (possibly)

It keeps the axle from rotating in the dropouts.
