What do you think about wearing cycling jersey and bib shorts on a stationary bike in the public gym? Do you think it is too much? I want to try in my condo gym first.
Do what you want and comfortable doing but 100% normal to wear activity specific clothing at the gym. If anyone says anything, fuck them.

Unless you sit on it for hours it does seem like much. But who would really care.

The bibs are probably overkill & might earn some odd looks…
My main goal when training indoors is not overheating, so I wear running shorts (the tight-fitting ones) and a loose singlet.
Mostly, no-one’s going to care as long as you’re not dressed indecently… wear what works for you…

I’d do a bit of a mix. Shorts are somewhat of a must if you’re doing long cycle workouts. But I’d probably be wearing a baggy gym shirt and maybe have gym shorts for off-the-bike workouts. I don’t think the world is ready for gym-MAMILs

I don’t see the point since aerodynamics aren’t an issue but I doubt anyone would care

peloton saddles are a bit more padded than an outdoor bike saddle so may not need it for that but seems fine to wear it all anyway

It’s all acceptable in the gym context, especially bibshorts, there’s padding in there for good reason. Torso I’d suggest a normal non-cycling top just cause they’re typically more comfortable, and you aren’t fighting a headwind indoors (hopefully).

For some reason I think it’s fine at your condo gym and weird at a public one. Can’t tell you why.

Go for it if that’s what you’re comfortable in, but I never really found a need for bibs when I had a peloton

Why not wear just the bibs and a normal shirt? I see people doing that on hotel Pelotons sometimes. I’ve even seen someone bring a wrench and take the pedals off and put their power pedals on. Or if you remain self conscious but still want the padding, you could get the shorts w the padded liner for touring and stuff. I think they even make padded cycling ‘underwear’ for that purpose.

People are going to look when they see your bibs. A 5” short has same effect

I’d wear bike shorts,, but not bike specific shirt.

I would not care one bit, athletic clothes are normal for the gym and many people want to train in the same clothes they perform in.

I do this when traveling, except no jersey, just bibs. You don’t need an aero jersey or back pockets on a stationary bike. You DO need a chamois. I would just wear a regular athletic shirt.
I would have a giggle if I saw someone in full kit on a peloton bike at the gym, I won’t lie.

That is cool! that’s why they are called cycling clothes, nowhere it says to be worn only in the outdoors. Enjoy !

Are you going to the gym for a fashion contest? If not then wear the clothes designed for the activity. Cycling clothes are designed for their functionality.

Only weird if it’s PeNiS kit.

I’ve done it at the work gym. If you have the gear that keeps you comfortable on the bike, use it.

I’d say that’s pretty weird- Lycra is primarily to compress fabric for wind resistance, which you have none of when stationary, so a jersey comes across as super try hard. Bib shorts provide padding for a bike seat, so I do get that.
