Hi, First time trying to run tubeless, and my beads don't seem to seal? Tyre pops into bead with the air compressor no problem, sealant in, valve core in and pump to 40 psi. Then it will go flat in under 2 hours.

I tried spinning the wheel on its side to get sealant on the inside of the bead and I get this on both sides of both wheels? Any ideas? Bad tyres? Dirty beads?

Wheels are Alex MD35, supposedly tubeless compatable

  1. This comes up often in this subreddit. Best solution for now is to top up on fluid and ride. Repeat as needed. Barring some real problems it will sort itself out.

Did you set it up? Did you use tubeless tape? Are you sure the tires are tubeless compatible?

  3. If you feel like pulling the tire off, make sure the rim is taped bead to bead But it should be fine. That’s what the sealant is for, to seal lol
