Welcome to Bike Routes of Brum! A channel dedicated to showing safe and quiet routes to cycle around Birmingham – inspired by the great work done by @Londoncycleroutes
In this video, we travel from Yardley, a suburb in the east of the city, to Chamberlain Square in the city centre. This route follows quiet roads, parks and the segregated A45 Cyle Route.
The route should take about 35 minutes to cycle and the .GPX file for the route is in the link below:

I don't know Yardley at all but did venture to the airport viewing area during covid. That seems a better route than the canal where I was verbally abused as I rode along it and there were reports of muggers pushing cyclists into the canal and taking their bikes.
I recognised some of the sections around the back of Digbeth as that was my route I took from Selly Oak.
Thanks as always for posting these up.
Hey, I've just discovered your channel. Super vids! Nearly all of my travelling around Brum (commute, shopping, leisure) is by bicycle but i don't go out east much, so good to see this one.
Despite Birmingham being so car centric, it's still a lovely thing to cycle in the city.
