In this essay I write about the emotional aspect of solo touring as a young man fresh out of college who was breaking up with his girlfriend while riding. I share the guilt I felt for hitching rides while I tried to make a documentary about the trip. I was also withdrawing from Adderall on the trip and the loneliness of the desert.
I still think about riding where I hitched and later I’ll write about the first half, but I felt some of you may appreciate and/or relate to what I’ve written here and for some, this may provide some cautionary foresight.
