Hey guys, I have the option to buy a barely used secondhand Bombtrack Arise SG Apex 2024 for €1.000. New it costs around €1.700.
Here you can see the specs:

I need a bike that I can take all across the world. Should I take this bike for €1.000? Are parts available if it breaks down in a 3rd world country? Are there better alternatives around €1.000?

It’s steel, got plenty of mounts, is the same frame as the Arise Tour (or appears to be at least), and has a mostly SRAM drivetrain, so it seems like it should be easily serviceable in most places. The brakes could be better, but overall, it seems like it’d be a good start.
I picked up a used Arise Tour earlier this year and absolutely love it. It’s not as responsive as some other bikes I’ve ridden, but it’s very smooth with a reasonably relaxed riding position that is comfy to stay in for longer stints.
