Does UCI actually pay for it? I’d assume a champagne manufacturer would be happy to provide product for free for the advertisement. In any case, this tradition is way out of hand, can’t disagree there.
It’s no longer special or novel and just seems wasteful and silly to watch week after week across various sports.
