I find cleaning and rebuilding old parts to be therapeutic. I was originally looking for a wheelset. Originally the bike was 80(talked down to 60). I figured the going rate for 26” wheelsets that are 8 speed and up are usually 50-150, I’d just buy the whole bike. Came with nice parts that were in need of rebuilds and could sell to recuperate money spent. I’m not sure whether to sell the frame or do a future build. Besides the scrapes, it’s in good shape structurally. Reminds me of my 95 Schwinn Clear Creek I had in 96 growing up. Beat that bike to hell but had good memories with it.

  1. BrightDamage8260 on

this thing reminds me of the schwinn(bmx) blue falcons of this time period which were Brian Fosters sigbature race frames (BF)

  2. I have an older version that I converted to a 650b drop bar monster crosser. It rides as nice as my Rivendell tbh

  3. Definitely a ’97. $60 is an amazing price for this butted full-chromoly frame. Not as high end as their under-appreciated Homegrown series but damn nice nonetheless
