As a side note, If you use the self extraction type for crank removal, Don’t. Remove and use a crank removal tool atmo.

I’ve done to my competing brand of crankset – known for their dust caps – what you did in your 1st pic only with rubber grommets. I just find it more convenient. Good luck in your decision.

I like the red cap. Adds some more color and makes the red on the chainring pop too. I like details like this. Shit get the red bolts for the chainring next 🔥🔥

Not much of the o ring fan. I put silly titanium caps on mine.
