I'm looking for a bike under £600 to use on decently difficult trails and some small-ish jumps (hoping to improve skill and therefore intensity of riding in the coming years). Was going to go for marlin 5 (although no stock) as i thought it was time to move on from carrera. however i just saw the carrera kraken's specs and it seems to have similar if not better specs for a lot cheaper? also if anyone knows of a better bike for under 600 then please do let me know. Considering other bikes in the price range including specialised rockhopper and cube aim race.

Neither of those 2 are rated for “decently hard” trails.
Idk. Go with the cheaper one I suppose.
