Alight is a better all round. mercier is a pure city cruiser
Mercer is a “comfort hybrid” with an upright riding position with the rather high and swept back handlebars.
Liv Alright is a “fitness hybrid” with a more neutral riding position and standard height straight handlebars.
For those prices maybe buy both, try a $150 offer on the Mercier! Then use the Mercier for short rides to and at the beach and the Liv for riding in the city and longer fitness rides. Or have two bikes so you can ride with a friend who doesn’t have a bike!
As long as either one is the right size for you.
