  1. 1st off, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Steel is real baby!!! bar end shifters, columbus tubing(which one?), Shimano 600….

BUT that is kinda rich, unless you are in NYC, DC or some other high demand area.

I’d offer $250 and see what they say… If you live in an area that is cold right now, it is unlikely that sells at $400 any time soon.

but really, that is a pretty cool ride. not gonna lie. so is it worth $400? probably. but can you find a better deal? certainly. keep an eye out on FB marketplace. Some pretty amazing deals pop up on a regular basis.

  2. If that’s the original fork and it had a brand new drive train then 400 CAD would be fine.
If this is USD then I wouldn’t pay more than 300-320

  3. Might be, it all depends on what you are looking for

First of all, are you located in Canada? if so, Miele bikes are quite common here and they used to make both pretty good entry and high level bikes, this one seems to be pretty high end

Then, does it fit you? Keep in mind it’s a vintage geometry, so it definitely won’t fit like a more modern road bike if that’s what you’re looking for, it will therefore probably be somewhat more aggressive

Finally, what is it that you’re looking for with the bike? basically, what are you looking to do with it

do you plan on using it to commute, or do longer trips with it? do you think of getting into road bike racing? perhaps you just like the looks/feel of a vintage steel bike?

If you’re looking for a no frills, durable do-it-all bike that will survive the test of time? do you not mind having integrated shift/brake levers? do you not mind having a bit more of an aggressive position on your bike? if so, it might be worth it, maybe try to negotiate it

Or else, take some time to think about it and maybe look for something a bit more modern and forgiving 😉
