Hello ladies and gents, I am currently in the market for a second hand road bike or hybrid. I am intending on cycling a 300km route throughout Sicily where the roads are a mixture of good and some a little bumpy, with a lot of hills.
I have sourced a second hand Trek Domane AL 2 @ €450 and a Cannondale R800 @€350, both in pretty good condition.
My questions are:
1. Do these bikes suit the trip?
2. Are they well priced?
3. Which would be considered the superior bike in this instance?

Trek Domane AL 2 is better suited for what you want to do. More modern, wider tires, compact gearing, endurance frame, and can fit a rear rack. I would pay more for it than the Cannondale. Try to negotiate a better price if you can.
