  1. Seems like a clean bike that’s been taken care of, just going by the pictures. How much are they asking? And how much would a comparable, brand new bike be in relation to what their asking price is?

If the price is good and the test ride/LBS check-up goes well, then it could be a great buy! Looks to be an awesome bike from the spec sheet/pics.

Ha! This is on sale in Adelaide!

I know because I considered it and decided against it lol

I went with something else in the end because it’s an old bike (2016 or 17 from memory) and advertised for $1700 – and it’s a carbon frame (no idea about what it’s life has been like) and it’s mainly a road bike with gravel tyres 🤷🏼‍♀️

There is a Bombtrack Hook for sale in Adelaide for $1200 – go check that out as it’s also a medium (I would have bought it but already have my new bike!)

  3. I don’t believe the Scott Addict is considered a ‘Gravel’ bike more of an ‘Endurance’ bike. The main difference being the tire clearance. Gravel bikes allow for wider tires than endurance bikes. If that’s important to you, you may want to think about that a bit.

Of course I might be wrong so if anybody has direct experience with the Addict please chime in and correct me.

  4. The Scott addict is an endurance road bike similar to a Trek Domane which was built for the pave of the spring classics. Do with a tyre clearance of about 32mm and a road group set with no clutch it may struggle if it’s chunky where you ride. Personally I would not get it as a gravel bike.
