I have been mountain biking for several years now but have always been a noob when it comes to fixing/wrenching up my bike. I bent my rear wheel and one of my friends who's a bike mechanic said it wouldn't be worth it to true and I should just look into getting a new rear wheel. I currently have a 2019 YT Jeffsy CF Comp.

He said I need to find something with an HG driver, but on the vitalmtb specs page it says XT? But I'm still a little lost on what specifically I should look for. Can someone break down to me what key things I should be looking for in search for a rear wheel? So far I know I need a 27.5 12 x 148 rear I believe. Do I need anything special for a freehub/casette? All advice helps, thank you!

Yeah it will be 27.5 x148 12mm through axle. But I’m pretty sure e13 cassettes go on xd driver not hg. Best to pull off the cassette and see what you got to be sure.

Edit: yes it is xd driver. So you need 27.5×148 12mm through axle with an xd driver.
